Business Supporting the Community Award

Most large corporations have programmes for social responsibility and community involvement, and this is a great idea for other businesses too. It gives them the opportunity to give something back, make a real difference in their local community and support a cause they believe in. This is exactly what the winner of this Award decided to do.  Before I call this individual up to receive their award, I would like to play a short film about them.  Their nominator tells us about the passion they have for their chosen cause and what motivated them to get involved.

This is only the second time we have presented an award for this category and we are hoping that it will start a stream of nominations, for volunteers from businesses across the borough who go that extra mile, and give their time for free to support local communities and causes.
